Bought: Cafe in Perthshire, Scotland
Despite being double fermented and boasting using only the finest hops and barley, Resolution Premium Beer is very disappointing. The double fermentation ensures a larger amount of sugar is turned to alcohol, apparently making it the lowest calorie ale on the market… trouble is it tastes like the lowest calorie ale on the market.
I bought this beer whilst on a walking holiday in Scotland, and despite 4 hours of plodding and a beautiful loch side view, I really didn't enjoy it. Whilst the claim of an ale may be technically true it certainly doesn't taste like one.
In summary I expect more from Marston's and it seems they have a beer here that is light on calories but also very light on flavour.
